Waze Carpool launches statewide in California

With all the uproar about lane changes that affect traffic in West LA and South Bay I thought this new feature from Waze was released just in time.  Wouldn’t it be great to find a PV neighbor going the same way you are and share a ride?  Waze Carpool is a new service that allows users to offer/take carpool rides. Riders will pay 54¢/mile to the driver and Waze takes ZERO commission.

To offer rides to others, you can use the normal Waze app after you register for the carpool service. But to request a ride you have to use the new Waze Carpool app.  Also, your first ride is free.
